Summer Dresses Under $40

It is now mid-July and I cannot believe it. Can you?

It is truly nuts how quickly time has moved and how much summer we have left of 2021.

BANANAS.

Anyways, while I was enjoying fancy cocktails with a dear friend, we talked about many things and one of them was summer dresses.

She wanted more summer dresses.

I wanted more summer dresses.

Both of us felt the need to add more summer dresses to our closet for fun options that are very grab and go.

Because grab and go means you don’t have to think too much into what you’re wearing……….

I don’t know about you, but there is something very exciting about a beach dress that transitions into an evening dress.

Ideally, the summer dress look I decided to explore was a casual look, which is how I personally like to dress in summer…..

After our initial agreement that we both felt like we could use more summer dresses, I suggested I could find good ones and she made the stipulation that they needed to be $30 and under……..

To that, I said…..”Done and done.”

With her stipulation of the $30 and under price tag, I think I did an okay job of gathering more under $30 dresses, but there were a few I had to include that were above her stipulation (I just had to…..I could not pass up on offering a bit more variety into the mix).

So, without further ramblings, here are the summer dresses that are under $40.

First up is this button down dress by Mitilly.

I love buttons detailing and its simple shape.

Romantic Evening Summer Dress

This next dress reminds me of a nice dinner date dress, that also comes across as very summery and romantic………and you can’t really beat the price tag of $34.00.

Beach Day Boho Dress

Following the romantic, we go into a flirty ditsy floral print by Floerns.

Perfect for day to night.

Structured Day To Night Dress

Next is a dress I love the shape of and I think given the right accessories it could be a really fun print.

I almost did not include this dress because I am not sold on the print, but the shape is really great…..so I think it’s worth including.

Your Favorite Casual Summer Dress

Another fun button down option (which I have in this exact color)…… which is essentially just a very long tank top dress and is a great option for a casual beach day to evening dress.

I like that it’s simple and it’s appropriate for almost all summer activities.

A Classic Summer Dress

Another shape of dress I am loving is the classic shape.

I love that this next dress is in white, because even though other colors and prints are available, I think that the solid white accompanied with a classic shape is something you’ll reach for every summer.

Your Every Season Dress

This Imysty v-neck polka dot dress is also in my closet, as I think it’s going to be something that works in the summer and in the fall with tights and booties.

The color is not overly summery or overly fall and I think it matches varied seasons, so I am very excited to have this to reach for all year round.

A Summer Dress That Needs Nothing Added

Another romantic dress.

I particularly love the color and the bow straps.

I also love how the dress stands alone on it’s own and is not really something you’ll really need to add to…….you just throw it on and you’re good to go.

A Maxi Length Dress

Closing out these summer dresses under $40, I decided on this red flowy number.

It does come in cream, but I love this pattern over the other pattern.
