Trader Joe’s Beauty Section | Affordable Spa Dupes
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Trader Joe’s beauty section needs to be talked about.
I needed a few things last night — and I stayed in the beauty aisle (a bit longer than I had anticipated).
Did I need anything? No. I just let myself bask in the glow of these new products.
Let’s review, shall we? As I am speaking, I am about to head off to a pamper session and will report back.
The Brazil Body Oil
Note: It is not being sold online. Check back in the fall/winter of 2024-2025 (as that is what I was told from TJ staff).
A dupe for the Sol de blah blah blah. Girl. You know I didn’t buy the original. I did buy the dupe unknowingly — upon researching this product for this blog post, so there is that.
I have to say, as someone who doesn’t use oil on her limbs — this has changed my perspective.
Growing up, my mom (who is white) always used body oil for sun tanning. Apparently, body oil can be used outside of tanning? I am learning new things everyday.
I love this new found product. Tonight, I tried it and I get the hype.
Using this product works best after the shower and before applying unscented body lotion (I just read the back of the bottle for the best tips on how to use).
Technically, it is a dry oil, so leave your skin a little wet before applying.
This scent is sweet but not overwhelming or overpowering. It leaves just a hint of sweetness and is a perfect scent for winding down before bed.
Trader Joes Brazilian Body Oil is the perfect fit for the chronic night shower enthusiast.
I will have to try this out dayside (with layering and perfumes) along with a morning shower to get the full effect.
10/10 stars.
A real winner.
Check out their Brazilian Nut Scrub.
Trader Joe’s Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer
This one slapped me right in the skincare tingle and burn department.
You know that subtle tingle and burn when new skincare is working its formula onto your fresh skin?
It presented that for me, and it lingered for about a minute.
After that, it settles in pretty nicely. This product goes on thick, absorbs smoothly and leaves skin dapper and plump for your skincare or makeup (I think I will need to try this product with makeup, but the base looked good).
I bought this thinking it was a dupe for the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, but I think it is a Laneige or Clinique dupe?
I love Clinique, so this hits that love for me.
Because of the slight burn this product gets an 8/10 stars from me.
Chocolate Berry Lip Masks – Trader Joe’s Beauty
This is actually a Laneige dupe.
I thought that because it comes in a pack of two, one was a scrub, and one was a lip balm.
No. You get two lip mask balms (no scrub).
Sinks in evenly to every crevice of your lips.
Hydrates.
Tastes good.
Looks unassuming and does its job.
Love that.
10/10 stars.
Other Beauty Items from Trader Joes
I am a frequent user of their vitamin e oil and hear only great things about their face oil.
So I need to check that out when I am there next.
Love their spray sunscreens, and I have been known to buy their tee tree facial cleansers (now I use Cetaphil).
I have also heard great things about their retinol.
So, I pretty much recommend you try anything from the Trader Joe’s beauty department.
