The Best Etsy Shops for Chanel and Coach Handbag Dupes
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.

Chanel and Coach Handbag Dupes – Reaching for your favorite accessories can be, and often is, very personal.
I am going to share how I decide to engage with an item and then list questions for you to answer for yourself below in the next two sections.
As you can see from the photo above — what we have here is a dupe. Let’s discuss the nature of deciding on whether to spend for the original or find a quality piece that replaces that original brand’s version with a similar version for your fashion wants and needs.
My Thought Process When Shopping for Dupes V.S. The Real Deal
Let’s get on the same page really quickly.
How do you shop for your clothes?
I want to share with you how I shop for mine.
What I have found is that I am very minimalistic in what I actually decide to wear and use on the day-to-day. I have my favorites, but I don’t like to feel confined. I have dream aspects of certain items, and I sometimes get an item and find that I love the look of it, but sometimes I find that I don’t love the functionality of the item for myself, my lifestyle, or personality quirks.
These aspects of myself are good to know, but the point is – is that I allow myself to play and indulge in my fashion wants without limiting how I engage with an item, and thus, I allow myself to buy a dupe before ever committing to the real thing.
Maybe you can relate?
Questions to Ask Yourself Part 1 – What is Your Thought Process When Shopping for a Real V.S. a Dupe?
- How are you engaging with your fashion choices?
- Are you minimalistic, or are you a maximalist or somewhere in between?
- Do you allow yourself to play with your fashion, or do you like the choices streamlined with little to no time to engage in playing dress-up? (Some people really don’t have time)
- Do you find it offensive to buy a dupe of an item you like?
- Will you feel better if you just buy the real thing first?
- How does engaging with the original brand make you feel?
- How does engaging with the brand duping the original brand make you feel?
Do You Want the Brand Clout, or Do You Like the Look?
This is a very valid question.
Over the summer, I almost bought a second-hand Chanel flap bag. I didn’t because it would have been irresponsible and thoughtless at this stage in my life. However, adding the bag to my online cart allowed me time to pause and assess what it was that I even liked about the bag.
Was it the logo itself? No. But If I had to choose my favorite designer logo, it would be Chanel.
Okay, then, what was it about the bag that I did like? I liked the quilted pattern, the soft leather, the chic and versatile nature of the bag, and the sleek yet practical look it gave to outfits. I didn’t need the ‘CC’ logo — I just wanted the bag or an iteration of the bag itself.
That is the biggest question: If it had no logo or prestige, would you even want the item?
If a bag without the logo was the case, did I need to spend thousands of dollars to obtain said logo? No.
Is it disrespectful to a well-known brand? Also, no — Because I remembered that Cocoa Channel was actually a Nazi agent, and I thought to hell with the whole thing (who cares if Chanel gets duped?). I love the aesthetic of the fashion house itself (truly, it is my favorite because as a teen, that was the fashion house that made me fall in love with designer fashion), but a dupe of their iconic flap bag is actually what I can afford, and I don’t think it’s the least bit disrespectful.
To be honest — Most designer handbag prices are disrespectful. I think paying up to $3k for a designer handbag is steep but reasonable, and anything else is but a scam. If the brand wants to be about prestige, then being duped is par for the course, unfortunately.
Questions to Ask Yourself Part 2:
- Do you only want the item because it looks trendy?
- Do you need the logo, or are you fine with a similar item instead (repetitive question, but worth asking again)?
- What do you actually like about the item?
- Do you think that the price is reasonable?
- Is engaging with this purchase disrespectful to your wallet or values in any way?
Etsy Handbags
That is where Etsy comes in.
Etsy is where quality and craftsmanship meet. Where small businesses converge to meet the everyday consumer, and everyone gets something that they want, but most importantly — the pricing is mostly always within reason. That is why I love Etsy.
It just feels like a way more respectful tone to engage with consumerism than the overconsumption culture we have entered into.
For one, you actually have to go to the website knowing what it is that you want to look up.
You have to engage with multiple shops, read multiple reviews, or take a chance on a new shop with no reviews.
There is no one telling you if what you want is “cool” or if “it’s good or not.”
Colors are limited, demands are high, and the quantity of those items tend to be low.
It’s the closest thing to going to a farmer’s market online. It is both broad and niche.
When you shop on Etsy, you are supporting small businesses. That’s AMAZING!
Chanel and Coach Handbag Dupes that I’ve Bought From Etsy
Bag #1 —

This oversized bag is my work bag. Originally, I wanted to get the Coach Manhattan Tote after getting the Fiona Tote for Christmas.
My issue with Coach Totes as work bags is that they only have room for a small laptop when most work laptops boast a much bigger screen than 13 inches, so I had an idea of what I wanted when looking for a work tote that Coach did not have a fit for.
Luckily, the store Oak and Elk has a great leather tote, which I have absolutely loved. It’s perfect and it fits everything.
On their website, you are getting the original price whereas on Etsy, you may catch a sale. Currently, this exact bag is on sale for $88 through April 1st on Etsy!
Also, this bag is made of leather. It’s beautiful, and I am so glad I got it.
Chanel Flap Bag Dupe
Bag #2!
Here she is.

This shop had three color options — black, ivory, and burgundy (gold and silver hardware). I opted for the burgundy/merlot color with gold hardware.
What I love about this bag is that the quality is there, and It’s just under $200 and really well made. It is 26cm, so in terms of a flap bag dupe, I think that is a medium-sized version.
I was very happy to find this bag, and this shop, and I hope you consider purchasing from this shop as well.
Note: If you do order from this shop, I need to preface that this shop is located in Ukraine, so there may be some delay, as the country is currently in the middle of a war. Also, please do not purchase if you are not okay with delay or even things that are out of the seller’s control. Please and thank you!
Let Me Know
I would love to hear if you try these shops on Etsy, and would love to hear if you have the real version — or, like me, a bit of both (just no real Chanel over here).
Check out other blog posts in the fashion section, and thank you for reading this very fun Chanel and Coach handbag dupes blog post.
