Caprese skewers are on my to-do list this summer. They are cute treats to keep you and those you are hosting full enough, cool enough, and something that offers no fuss. 

Simplicity in summer is the key.

Truly.

Open-faced sandwiches, cucumber salad, grilled chicken, and corn are my absolute healthy summer favorites. 

Caprese salad is a fun “adult” way to host in a bit of a fancier way.

Making Summer Entertaining Easier with Caprese Skewers

What I love about this appetizer is that it presents as a colorful and fun food, is relatively easy to make and people won’t feel too messy eating it.

When entertaining, it can be tricky to make sure the food is being prepped and the people are entertained.

Wine That Pairs Nicely

To make sure your guests are feeling chilled out enough, it is great to have sparkling water, filtered or tap water, and wines that people can sample from.

Rosé, Sauvignon Blanc, and Pinot Grigio all pair nicely with this side dish.

Guest Etiquette

Always offer to bring a dish, and BYOB or bring the host something they can enjoy later.

I actually learned that bringing flowers is considered rude in some ways because it creates a chore for the host, who is already hosting.

If you want to bring the host flowers, bring them in a vase ready to go.

When you arrive, always offer to help, and always offer to clean up.
