Finding your perfect workout shoes can be hard if you want your personal style to shine through and are also the proud owner of high arches.
One cannot simply have one pair of trainers for running, weight lifting and Hiit workouts. Apparently, workout shoes are made for specific workouts and for a good reason.
The idea that one size fits all for workouts and even workout shoes is a dead end street, leading to your body to letting you know “It’s different,” by potentially giving you an injury you were not planning on (*raises hand)*. The motto for your own life should always be “I’m not a regular human, I am my human.”
So, let’s get down to why you’re potentially reading this blog post. I am assuming you have high arches and want to know the BEST shoes for your workouts? I have got you covered.
HIIT workout trainers for High Arches.
May I introduce you to some Puma Ignites? This specific trainer is a life saver for high impact, high intensity floor workouts and your high arches. The best aspect about this shoe is that it has a cage designed around your arch to let your arch be supported as you do varying and versatile moves while you blast through your workout.
Hiit workouts are becoming a great go-to for a lot of people during this seasons (literally almost a year) pandemic, and so shoes like this are a great investment piece if you want your workout equipment to be minimal, but don’t want to invest in a home gym.
Not interested in a home gym or floor workouts, but crave that “variety is the spice of life” approach; while also wanting your arches to feel supported while being adventurous? Let’s talk about running trainers, which offer different aspects of foot support when compared to HIIT trainers.
If running, walking and cycling are more your speed, let’s acknowledge the fact that you may have to forgo aesthetic in order to embrace proper foot support, which brings me to my most favorite running shoe……the “ASICS Gel-Venture 7 Trail” shoes. This shoe is very versatile in what kind of workouts one can do workout wise and offers a bit more freedom, than say, the previous workout trainers I mentioned above…..
As a trail support shoe, it lets you navigate through trails and roads in every season, and if you have to run in the snow and ice, you can always slap on some ice gripping cleats to the bottom and be on your way safely.
These shoes so far have been great support for my arches and in so doing that, have kept my ankles, knees, hips and back in a lot less pain from when I was running in my Adidas Cloud trainers (which are terrible for someone with high arches).
My running trainers are the trainers I use for walks, cycling, hiking and running and I really love them and will be purchasing these two brands of trainers for here on out.
I cannot recommend these trainers for high arches enough.
Another option is to get arch support inserts to add into your trainers that you already have, which will add additional arch support…… although nothing will do the trick like proper trainers for your unique foot needs from the get-go.
Let me know if you found these two shoe recommendations helpful.
I know that for me, I would have loved this advice when shopping for my high arches and so I am sharing in the hopes that someone else will not have to endure the confusion of appropriate footwear for their exercising needs.
Talk to you soon.
