Chic fall handbags are a must as we simmer off into the summer sunset of 2022.

It’s been a weird one.

A chic one.

A really adult one, for me.

A lot less play, but a lot of really amazing turns into a smoother direction, and I have to say that I really appreciate it.

God has been sailing this ship and when you say, “Jesus take the wheel.”

He really does.

Why Handbags?

When I was a kid, my mom explained to me that everyone eventually finds their own style and I remember not knowing which direction I would end up going in.

But I always had a strong fashion narrative, and it was hard to steer me away from it.

There are so many choices for your own style and to a kid, the possibilities seem endless.

I was lucky in that my mom’s youngest sister was sixteen when I was born, so her influence always felt like an older sister instead of an aunt, and she was very stylish.

She also lived with us when she was in college for a few years, so I got access to her clothes, jewelry and music all of the time (to her discontent).

If we ever had an issue with an outfit or a question, my mom would point us toward our Auntie Momo (Maura).

She really was very stylish and has great taste to this day.

High School Accessory of Choice

When I was in high school, handbags were my favorite thing, and they still are.

Remember when I stated that I was curious as to what my favorite style accessory would be when I grew up? It ended up being handbags.

I love fashion, but I love a good handbag, or a purse the most.

They have so much personality.

I think if I have too many of anything it will always be handbags.

Jewelry and a good pair of shoes is something that I can appreciate….

But we all have one fashion accessory obsession, and handbags are my vice.

Handbags As we Get Older

The weird thing about loving something so much, is that you become really picky as you get older.

You realize that quality over quantity flows in every area of your life…. and you become more mindful about what you buy, and why you buy it.

You even stray further and further away from needing all the quirky bags (not as many anyways), to only really needing the classic ones.

All of this to say, that I think I have found some really chic handbags for fall, and I want to share them with you.

The first one is my go-to bag, and it is by Dune London.

The Bryssa in silver seems like a nice close second to mine. Not loving the texture of the black and gold version though.

White and Green in the Dempsey bag….. a great nod to Bottega Venetta.

A bag named after many Dutchesses. Love it in the caramel shade.
