The Best DIY Manicure that Costs $10 – $60
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Who has been wanting a fun DIY manicure?
How about one that lasts for about seven days and only costs about $10?
Same.
Younger me always had a fresh gel set, older me realized it’s too expensive.
Last year I sat in a salon chair for a gel mani pedi that ran me about $100 (including the tip).
I just cannot fathom paying that amount during the current cost of living crisis, can you?
Looking for Lasting Manicure’s
I have been looking into finding a great and lasting DIY manicure method.
This one is perfect for women who have no time to sit and wait for the paint to dry and who don’t mind reapplying a loose nail every few days.
That is right.
I am talking about press on nails.
Kiss Press On Nails
I have tried a few brands and Kiss is my go-to at the moment.
I love how creative they have gotten with nail prints and I have some tips.
For the gel manicure’s that are listed as “S” and have no print design other than a color or gradient of a shade….
May I suggest cutting it down and filing the nail after you have it glued on. It looks exactly like a proper gel manicure.
For the Kiss nails that are listed “M” and have a print on them…I would leave them as is.
I have gotten so many compliments on these nail sets and every time I tell the person “thanks, they are press on actually.”
They seem to be shocked….maybe they can tell but I will take the compliment.
Here are my favorite finds from KISS.

In conclusion…..
I am loving how fast, easy and affordable these nails sets are.
Not to mention, my nail health is far better than when getting a full gel set.
Have you been loving press on nails?
I would love to hear your thoughts on press on nails.
Is it a vibe?
I think it’s a vibe.
Please note that wearing fake nails back to back may damage your nails.
I reccomend wearing one set through the seven days and giving your nails a break afterwards.
Honorable Mentions – Gel Nails
This past year I tried the Sally Hanson gel kit. The nail polish and top coat are about $10 each.
So for $20, you can have a decent gel manicure for about a day and a half before it starts to chip.
It’s not my favorite if I am being honest, but it does the trick when you have an event.
I do find this to be something I do once every month or once every other week.
Gel manicures absolutely destroy your natural nail.
Gel Manicure – At Home Equipment
My next Amazon purchase for nails will probably be this at – home kit.
I have heard good things.
Talk to you soon.
