Mother’s Day Gift Guide
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Mother’s Day is just around the corner.
It is?
Yeah, it’s really close guys.
In this blog post I cover a Mother’s Day gift guide and I discuss the societal pressure of Mother’s Day and I attempt to make the topic less intimidating.
Tried, being the keyword.

Mother’s Day Last Minute Shoppers
Last minute gift shoppers I see you.
Wasn’t it just Christmas not so long ago…….
I feel like it was, and maybe because it kind of was?
Well, now we are back in the gift giving saddle again and it feels……Great.
Mother’s Day can be a tricky holiday for some.
A Tricky Holiday
It should go without saying that the mother archetype is complicated.
So please take this blog post and the ideas in this post as a landscaped vantage point.
I want to tell you in case no one else does…
That you can celebrate Mother’s Day anyway that you would like.
Maybe Mother’s Day is a great day to mother yourself and or spend time with your mother.
Or perhaps, it’s a great time to give your mom a phone call or send a text….
It’s all about how you decide to make it work.
I would like to point out that advertisements around this time of year do push the “ideal.”
So it helps to take the pressure off when we realize, holidays are marketing schemes at the worst of times.
And sentimental at the best of times.
Meanwhile, I think it always helps to take the middle road I find, taking in excitement with a dose of reality.
No Two Moms Are the Same
It helps to realize that no two moms are the same and no gift guide will fit every type of mom.
Although I did try.
And if you do feel a call to action to celebrate, then this blog post is for you.
It’s always kind of stressful gift giving because giving gifts is stressful.
I find that it helps to ask myself What kind of gifts does my mother like?
Sometimes it helps to ask the basics, like…….
What are her hobbies?
What does she want to try?
Asking those types of questions really help me to narrow it down.
Maybe they will help you too.
Gift Guide
As we transition from the wordy part of the blog to the gift giving part of the blog, I want to restate this……
Do what works best for you.
I tried to narrow it down to a few gifting ideas.
Here’s to hoping that they help you navigate your own shopping needs for Mother’s Day.
First off…..
Jewlery For Mother’s Day
What mom doesn’t love jewelry and or accessories?
If your mom is into that……
Jewelry is such a great gift for your mother.
For The Mom Who Loves A Handbag
Mom’s need a lot of pockets and accessories and things to mom, but as they get older…..they don’t need as much space…..
Handbag’s, especially on a smaller scale…. scream summer and spring.
Smaller handbags also remind them they graduated from lugging a lot of your stuff a long time ago.
What mother wouldn’t want a new bag to celebrate the warmer months?
The Coffee Lover
I have yet to meet a mother who doesn’t love coffee……
What better way to celebrate mom than by getting her more of what she already loves?
How about a home accessory your mother can love?
She’ll soon be rivaling her favorite coffee shops as barista extraordinaire.
For the Kitchen Aesthetic Mom
Does your mother love a great kitchen aesthetic?
If this sounds like her, may I recommend patio glassware?
I think patio glassware is a great way to help your mother enjoy her beautiful garden, patio or outdoor space and it’s kind of an unexpected gift.
For The Outdoor Loving Mom
Does your mom love outdoor parks, lake or ocean side hangs?
If this sounds like your mother than getting her, her very own outdoor blanket for wine dates, picnics and more is something she may actually appreciate.
The Traditional Mom
Lastly, who doesn’t love fresh flowers?
Now, I am all about shopping local from your local florist, but if you are in a pinch…….
May I suggest these flowers?
These flowers look amazing and the ratings support that.
Creative Gifts
As always, get creative with your gift giving.
But please also refer to my love language gift guide for Valentine’s Day, if you have not already checked that out.
