Stocking Stuffer Ideas; Your 2020 Gift Guide
We may earn money or products from the companies mentioned in this post.
Stockings and stocking stuffers are the Christmas morning favorite in this house and so much fun to plan for your loved ones. What Santa does with stockings can vary from home to home, but the agreed upon yearly win is that no one gets a lump of coal.
So, have you been naughty or nice this year?
Let’s get stocking stuffer idea happy.
Makeup Kit – Stocking Stuffer Ideas
The play on color from M.A.C cosmetics has gotten it absolutely right with their naughty and nice eye shadows. This is the perfect gift for your makeup loving family member.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are always a fun bonus for unwrapping or unstuffing your stockings and with small businesses needing extra monetary help this year, why not shop locally in the form of gift cards?
This is such a fun way to even do a “save the date,” date night for when life becomes safe to socialize again partnered or in groups.
Kitchen gadgets that fit snugly into or behind, beside or underneath a stocking are always a win. It’s the fun little knickknacks that fill up the stocking and honestly, we all love our reasonable restocks of socks and everyday restocks…..
Festive Socks
Speaking of stockings in the literal sense, can we realize how amazing getting snuggly and festive socks are? The best. Kids may not appreciate the boring socks now, but just wait until adulting hits them…..fun new socks and gift cards are always great stocking stuffer ideas for the tweens, teens and yes, even the adults in your life.
For the Nostalgia Lover
Got a nostalgia lover who likes to take photos with film? I know, right, film? But what a shockingly great gift to the nostalgia ridden soul. There are many mediums of film and photography out there, so I don’t want to make a blanket statement and say “film,” but a fun disposable camera or a vintage point and shoot (if they have one already or are getting one) with film is such a random and fun gift for your old soul family members.
The Massager of Dreams
Ear pods are not for everyone, but for the techie who loves music I find ear pods to be a great gift that does indeed fit inside a stocking. If like me, you would never be caught using ear pods because you would LOSE them unintentionally, I see you and I get you….but tis the season to look beyond what works for us and look at what works for them.
Bath Goodies
Candles, bath salts, and bath bombs are something most women and some men enjoy receiving, so why not stuff it in a stocking? If they make the product miniature, even better…..minis are super cute and festive.
Coffee To-Go Mugs
Mugs, coffee, tea and cocoa treats are all great and tasty stocking stuffer ideas that almost never go untouched. Check out your local cafe’s and see if they have gift sets available. Not only are you getting someone you love a touch of cozy and comfort, but you’re funneling money back into your community. Double win.
Ornaments – a Fun Stocking Stuffers Essential
Ornaments are great stocking stuffers. I do have to wonder if anyone will want an ornament that says “2020” on it, but I am certain any ornament that is given in good jest and with love will only be looked at as the greatest addition to anyone’s stocking.
Coffee table books are a great under the stocking staple; depending on what your gift recipient is keen on, you really cannot go wrong with a fancy coffee table book.
Speaking of what the gift recipient is keen on…….
Donate to a charity the person opening the stocking would be happy to donate to themselves and leave them a proof of a donation voucher.
All in all, please get creative with your stocking gift giving this year, as it is your right to celebrate and spend in any which way you decide to if you are able.
This year the holidays will be more stressful in some ways and less stressful in other ways, but if we give ourselves and our loved ones grace we can come out of the other side with flying colors.
I truly do believe that and I hope this blog post finds you well and in good Christmassy cheer.
Talk to you soon.
