In this blog post I will be listing the ten things that everyone needs to at least consider, before heading to the beach.
Ten Beach Day Accessories You Need
Whether it’s a lake or an ocean shoreline, you will need certain items every summer to sustain you on your beach day………… and that is a certified fact.
Sure, you can roll in unprepared, with absolutely no game plan and end up having fun with what you came with; but I find beach days are best when you are at least a little bit prepared.
Here are Ten Beach Day Accessories that you may want to consider before heading to your beach destination.
1. Physical Sunscreen
You need sunscreen with a really great SPF.
For myself, I freckle easily even though I have melanin flowing throughout my melanocytes, and I have taken to watching a lot of videos by Dr. Vanita Ratten, and let me tell you……I probably ONLY want to be pushing physical sunscreen on my blog, but I do dabble.
What I love to use on my face specifically, is the brand “Paula’s Choice SPF 50 Sunscreen,” because not only is it a physical sunscreen for your face, it also goes on your entire body.
And it does not clog pores.
2. Protective Layers
A cover up that you can actually stay warm in and that covers your back and arms while laying in the sun.
The fabric has to be breathable.
3. A Hat
A wide brimmed hat to keep the sun off of your face.
4. A Giant Water Bottle
A large water bottle you can utilize while on the beach to stay hydrated.
There is nothing worse than swimming all day, laying out in the sun and realizing you haven’t gotten your daily water needs met…….
As someone who goes in spurts of drinking enough water to not drinking enough water…..I will be taking my own advice.
Drink up.
5. A Beach Towel/Blanket Combo
A Beach towel that can double as your beach blanket for light packing.
6. The Biggest Beach Bag
A Massive beach bag to contain your day’s worth of fun in.
One with a cute detachable cooler bag……for your bevy’s and snacks…..
7. Snacks
A snack or two, because no one wants to be around a hangry and dehydrated person for a day.
No one.
8. Appropriate Footwear
Appropriate footwear.
Are you walking on the beach?
Are you running on the beach?
Are you swimming all day?
Pick your poison and pack the shoes that will assist you to peak performance accordingly.
9. A Sunny Attitude
Let’s not forget to pack a sunny attitude and whatever extra extras you can fit into your beach tote.
10. A Face Mask
A face mask to protect yourself and others and your best social distanced game face, because it’s not exactly back to normal normal yet.
As always, I hope this blog post finds you well and ready for some summer beach fun.
Talk to you soon.
