Getting the best cookware set into my care was no easy feat.
Back in late November my mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Previously I had told her that I actually didn’t need anything.
She responded by saying that of course she would be getting me Christmas gifts so I better give her a suggestion.
Panic ensued.
Gift Receiving Anxiety
The older I have gotten the more anxiety ridden I have become over what enters my home.
In the earlier days of living on my own I took way less thought into what my home looked like in terms of matching sets and if people wanted to gift me things, I was always happy to take things in.
Now, I am much more cautious because I threw out a lot of things that I no longer needed, and now I have a much more honed in decor style.
It took work.
Growing up I never understood that whole movie scene (in a lot of films) where the mother-in-law would be visiting, and the daughter in-law would rush to put the gifted vase (that the mother in-law gifted her) out on display if she was visiting.
Now as an adult, I totally get it.
If your home is an oasis and visually your home effects your mood. You don’t just want things to have things. You want them to make sense in your space.
Dreaming of the Perfect Gift
So, after realizing I had to pick a gift I turned to practicality.
What things would I be replacing within the year?
I landed on my red cookware set. I just wasn’t feeling it anymore. It said it was nonstick, but it truly had been through too much and things stuck to it easily.
Sharing that my gift of choice would be a new cookware set, she seemed pleased to oblige down to the color.
I’ve gone through so many incarnations of kitchenware colors.
Red is my mom’s current cookware color, and I thought it could be mine too, but I am a neutral’s girl.
Always have been, always will be when it comes to home decor. I like things bright, crisp, neutral and textured.
For a time, I even had pink dishes as a last-ditch attempt to live out any Barbie dreamhouse fantasies still lurking in my inner child.
I loathe pink dishes now. That itch has been scratched.
Thank God.
Bialetti – Best Cookware Set
When she expressed interest in what color of cookware set I was wanting…. I said “you know? I think grey.”
She really thought I had lost my mind. My mom likes striking colors and I am less exciting in that way.
Grey isn’t a very cheerful color, but my kitchen has so many pops of color in accent pieces, that grey cookware would go perfectly with everything. And it does.
On Christmas morning I had forgotten what I had asked for and it was the absolute best gift ever.
a ten-piece, gun metal grey Bialetti cookware set.
Perfection down to its outer and inner texture. It’s matte on the outside and has a nanotech nonstick coating on the inside.
Easy to clean (handwash only) and looks amazing on your kitchen stovetops, in your cabinets and anywhere really. It’s that chic.
I had never heard of this brand before, but I seriously love it.
Final Thoughts on Bialetti
Best cookware I have ever used, hands down.
It cooks so evenly and is so smooth that I have not had a bad experience with it at all.
Bialetti cookware is also so easy to clean, and I am so glad it’s not Caraway expensive.
It’s an affordable brand that feels like a luxury.
I am so thankful my mom gifted me this cookware set. It’s amazing.
