Summer Clothing| Target Edition
I have been impressed with Target fashion for a while now and have not hidden this fact on Bella Kate 22.
Target has always been the bougie version of Walmart (and don’t even get me started on Juneteenth from the “window to the wall” Walmart really missed the mark).
As I was saying, people have been loving Target for years.
Now, as a pre-teen/teen you never could convince me that Target was a place one should buy clothes.
As an adult, my tune has changed……..as Target is a really fun and fascinating place to be.
Why?
Target understands their consumer market better than most.
While also understanding that if people wanted a less than stellar experience, they could go elsewhere………
Target knows that the word on the street is “Tarjay.”
A fun play on all things that sound expensive and perhaps a bit bougie.
They regularly collaborate with designers in home decor and fashion because they understand that people want luxury, but don’t find that luxury prices align with their reality or money values.
Target also understands that old American aesthetic, dream and craftsmanship…..and that it doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg to sell decent products to people.
Enter in this very exciting summer clothing selection they’ve put together and I couldn’t resist but to try to review these items for the blog.
Summer Clothing-The Flutter Dress
This dress feels a lot like a softer linen version of a Sleeper Dress, melting into the idea of cottage core, but staying in fancy comfort (it has pockets and it’s totally wedding guest material……I’ll make a post about that soon enough) enough to build it up for a fancier evening or dressing it down with sandles or your favorite pair of sneakers.
I was weary of the dress at first because it looked a bit off in consumer photos on the Target app, but it actually is really great quality.
It does wrinkle easily, so it’s a steamer on hand type of dress option to have in your closet.
Honestly, I was unable to find a decent flutter dress at this price point, so if you want one…..I would say, run, don’t walk to your online Target cart or nearest Target store.
The High Rise Tapered Pant
Did you say you wanted that adorable paper bag waisted pant look, but also wanted it to be kind of like a hybrid between oversized comfy slacks and a summer linen pant?
Target has brought you a summer clothing staple.
These pants are adorable, chic and amazing.
Try them.
See for yourself.
You may even buy one or more variations of the pant because they are just that good.
The Quilted Top Handle Satchel
I bought this last year in the lavender color and it really is a great handbag.
My least favorite part about the handbag is the silver hardware, but I tend to tuck it behind the bag when I am wearing it.
The bag itself is very versatile and roomy.
It has two button clasps on each side that you can close together to form a tighter looking handbag and it has plenty of pockets.
Cannot recommend this bag enough.
Is it a YSL quilted handbag dupe?
You decide.
The Basil Heel
I have to be honest with you, I don’t own this exact shoe.
I have the next best thing from Kelly & Katie….the Carile Sandle.
It was really important to me to have these sandles in white, and Target was sold out of their Basil sandles in white.
However, I am obsessed with the round heel and think this shoe is very unique and lovely.
From what customers have said about this Basil shoe, it seems to be very comfortable…..as is the Kelly and Katie version.
Summer Clothing- Target Edition
Here are some of my other favorite selections from Target.
This fun blue and small star print jumper.
A fun round handle straw beach bag.
This straw beach bag is also amazing and a smaller version for dinners.
I have these in black. These were my makeshift shower shoes/house shoes when I was out of town for two months. Super comfy.
Signing off with some fun mules.
As you can see, Target has a lot of cute summer clothes and offers very affordable fashion for its consumers.
I hope you have enjoyed this blog post that covers all things that are cute and affordable summer clothing, in a one-stop shop via Target.
